Who can Zoetrope Career Planning help?
Our services can help anyone at any stage of their career life-cycle; recent graduate, career changer, those dissatisfied with their work, executives, anyone who has been made redundant. The list is endless.
We will tailor the help given to suit your needs.

How are you different to other career advisers and consultants?
Firstly we focus on YOUR requirements and treat you as an individual. Secondly we do not rely purely on psychometric tests, although we use some assessment tools they are only part of the overall work. We use our own knowledge of creative career selection and job hunting to find the best fit for you in ‘your perfect life’. We can also look at alternative ways of making a living which you may not have thought of, but suit you better.

Aren’t I better off going to a recruitment agency?
Although recruitment agencies are excellent at finding a specific job for you, they are not there to give you unbiased job search support. Zoetrope Career Planning is. We don’t look for a job for you; instead we help you discover what jobs you could do. The final decision is yours.

Coaching

How do I know it will work?
The simple answer is that you don’t know completely. However, you can significantly increase your chances of success by giving 100% commitment. Your coach will give you their full support and will expect the same level of interest from you. Together you will create achievable goals which, every time you accomplish, will spur you on to do more.

I’ve heard about coaching, but isn’t it giving people false hope to follow their dreams?
At ZOETROPE we are very clear about only giving support to realistic goals. That’s why we take the time to get to know you as an individual. For example, there is no point in encouraging you to go for a promotion within your company if you already feel out of your depth. Additionally, we will guide you towards people with expert knowledge of the field you want to enter in order to help you make a decision.

How does phone coaching work?
Like face-to-face coaching, you will agree an appointment time with your coach. At the agreed date and time your coach will call you for your session. We charge the same for face-to-face and phone sessions as we believe you are receiving the same standard of service, however we bear the cost of the call unlike many other coaching providers.
Any work you have agreed to complete must be emailed to your coach at least 24 hours before each session for them to review.

Interviews

What is Zoetrope’s Interview Handbook?
This handbook is given to you as part of the Successful Interviews Package and Career Change Programme. It is a comprehensive document which guides you through the steps you need to take to prepare for interviews, with hints and tips from experienced interviewers. The handbook can also be purchased separately as a download here.

CV Assessment

How does this service work?
Once we have received your CV it will be passed to a CV writer with knowledge of your job search market. They will compile a comprehensive report on all aspects of your CV and highlight specific details which could be improved.

How long will the assessment take?
Detailed feedback on your CV will be emailed back to you within 2 working days of receipt.

CV Coaching

Who is this service for?
All those who wish to develop their own CV creation skills. You will be guided through the process by a coach who will show you how to start a CV from scratch and suggest improvements along the way.

How long will this take?
It depends on how much time you are able to commit to working on your CV between the coaching sessions, however we do suggest a minimum of a week between the sessions to allow for thinking time.

CV Writing

Who writes the CV?
We have a team of professional CV writers with experience in writing successful CVs of all types. After your initial session with a coach a writer will be chosen who has knowledge of writing CVs and applications for your job area or specialism.

How does the CV Writing service work?
The first stage is an initial session with a coach to establish your requirements and to complete a questionnaire of your personal details and work history.
A specialist CV writer is then selected, and will contact you, should any further information be required.
You will then be emailed a draft of the CV to review which we will change and edit until you are happy with it.

How long will it take?
From initial information gathering session with a coach to first draft of your CV will take 5 working days. The editing period will be dependent on how may changes you request.
