Payments and Refunds
Payment for the CV Writing Service is payable in advance online by Credit or Debit card via PayPal or by personal cheque. Work will only commence on receipt of your cleared payment. We reserve the right to allow time for bank clearance of cheque payments prior to commencing work.
If you are paying by credit/debit card your card will be debited on acceptance of your order so as to ensure that sufficient funds/credit are/is available in the account.
All credit/debit cards are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery and we are not obliged to inform you of the refusal. Should a suspected error be made in billing your credit/debit card you should first contact Zoetrope Career Planning. If we are unable to resolve the issue we will direct you to PayPal's Resolution Centre.
Once an order has been accepted by us, it is not possible to cancel it. That is to say, we are not able to grant refunds for orders which have been accepted and for which service has commenced. Specific items on an order which are not prepared until a completed order is dispatched may be cancelled whilst an order is still in progress and before they have been prepared. However, this is subject to a £10 administration charge.
Within the UK, all services are deemed to begin, by agreement, before the end of the cooling off period (as defined by United Kingdom's Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000), early delivery being essential to the vast majority of our clients. Furthermore, under the above-mentioned regulations all our goods are 'made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised' and are therefore exempt.
We reserve the right to terminate any contract due to offensive behaviour from a client. Offensive behaviour is defined as aggressive or abusive behaviour towards our staff, including the freelance CV writers.
The price of goods and services as set on our website includes VAT for EU deliveries. We are not responsible for any other importation taxes, sales taxes or charges that may be levied at the delivery destination.
Turnaround Times and Delivery
All orders made via the website will be processed within 24 hours.
Once payment is cleared and we have all of the necessary additional information from you we guarantee to have the 1st draft of your CV emailed to you within 5 working days and will amend it until you are satisfied. If your telephone consultation is conducted outside of business hours, then the 5 working days will be calculated from the next business day, following your consultation. CV Assessments will be emailed to you within 3 working days.
Special arrangements to write and produce a CV in less than 5 working days can be arranged and need to be agreed beforehand with the allocated CV writer.
All CV's will be formatted in Microsoft Word unless otherwise agreed at the time of consultation. If you want to convert your CV into another format then you will do so at your own risk.
We cannot accept any liability for late delivery of emails or for the failure of emails to arrive since the delivery of emails depends on too many external factors beyond our control.
All CVs will be revised free of any further charges until you are totally satisfied and request dispatch of your completed order. This is subject only to our other terms and conditions (in particular the clauses concerning offensive behaviour as detailed under Payments and Refunds) and to our right to automatically deem an order to be closed to a client's satisfaction should we not have heard from them to the contrary after not less than 1 month has elapsed since our last contact with the client.
All changes to draft orders and/or approvals of draft orders must be submitted in writing - by post, fax, email - and can not be accepted by telephone.
Once a completed order has been dispatched and accepted, if any further changes are required we reserve the right to apply a charge for the extra work. The charge will be determined by the individual CV writer at their discretion.
Acceptance will be deemed to have taken place once you have returned the 'Acceptance email' or after 1 month as detailed above.
100% Satisfaction Guarantee
If you have not been invited to an interview within the first 8 weeks following dispatch of your CV we guarantee to provide at least a half hour telephone consultation with a career coach and a review of your CV against the jobs for which you have applied. Any subsequent changes made to your CV as a result of this consultation will be made free of any charge.
Complaints Procedure
Please direct any complaint by email to admin@zoetropecareerplanning.co.uk
When a complaint is received, the full details will be recorded in the Complaint Log, including emails, letters and telephone calls.
A response will be made to you within 5 working days.
Where the complaint is of a more complex nature and requires further investigation, you will be contacted within 5 working days and advised of this. You will be given an indication of how soon a full response will be made.
Where it is not possible for a complaint to be resolved, you will be given a clear explanation in writing.
The Complaint Log will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. Where this highlights a particular problem or pattern, this will be investigated and remedial action taken.
Cancellation Policy for Purchased Services
Distance Selling Regulations shown here negate your right to cancel, as your contract commences when payment details are given by you.
Distance Selling Regulations
The supply of services and personalised goods, as outlined in Distance Selling Regulations 13, "the consumer will not have the right to cancel the contract by giving notice of cancellation pursuant to regulation 10", 13:1A and 13:1C in respect of contracts for the supply of services if the performance of the contract has begun with the consumer's agreement; before the end of the cancellation period.
However, we recognise clients can have a change of circumstance and therefore offer a cancellation policy, that balances the cost of our administration costs, CV writer's time and research work undertaken, prior to a booking:
If you cancel*:
. Up to 7 working days prior to your phone consultation with the CV writer: 10% will be deducted from the refund
. Up to 4 working days prior to your phone consultation with the CV writer: 25% will be deducted from the refund
. Up to 2 working days prior to your phone consultation with the CV writer: 50% will be deducted from the refund
. Cancellation on the day attracts the full 100% Cancellation Fee.
Cancellations are scheduled to the next working day, where cancellations are made outside of normal business hours.
Refunds due will be credited back to your card within 30 days of cancellation order.
